Company Name: Klevr

About The Founders
After Kris Versteeg retired from the NHL after 11 seasons, he had countless parents and coaches ask him for feedback about their athletes and teams. To help them out, he had them send video via SMS, which he then had to load onto a platform, trim, use frustrating tools for annotation, download the annotated video, and send it back.
When he told his brother Mitch Versteeg (a professional hockey player), and Josh MacNevin (a WHL coach) about the frustrating and time-consuming process, he quickly realized that he wasn’t the only one looking for a platform for parents, athletes and coaches to easily clip, edit, annotate, and share video.
Kris, Mitch, and Josh originally founded Klevr to be that solution. They later added Steve MacDonald’s twenty-five years of development experience, and Bryce Versteeg’s banking experience to the founding team.
The Problem
Current sports technology is only made for the members of the sporting community who earn in the top 1% – coaches or families. These members have no constraints in being able to leverage top developmental tools, or are impeded in their ability to connect with other top athletes, and coaches. It is the 99% of athletes who do not have the same access to developmental tools, or the network to connect with top athletes and coaches. We are trying to serve the 99%.
The Solution
Provide a mobile application that is free to download, where all coaches, athletes, and parents are able to teach, connect, and share.
Klevr is Hudl or CoachesEye but accessible and simple to use.
What’s Next for Klevr?
We will be launching our Coaches Marketplace, which will allow coaches, athletes, and parents to connect and engage real-time. This marketplace will provide verified coaches a platform to work with plays regardless of their geographic location, and monetize their coaching platform.
We are seeking strategic investors to close out our current funding round.
Where can people see or find you?
We are always trying to go to different sporting tournaments and tradeshows. This summer’s events include:
1. The Coaches Site Live June 15-17th in Ann Arbour Michigan
2. VerSet Skills Camp August 2022, Taber, Alberta
