Company Name: Ymmij
Year Founded: 2019
Headquarters: Toronto, Ontario
The Founder
Prior to starting work on Ymmij, Jimmy Zachariah played critical senior leadership roles in helping grow startups to successful acquisition. He and his team have more than fifty years of combined experience, managing not only Operations and Finance, but leading teams to build applications for companies such as Facebook, Disney, NBC, Quibi, Ford, CNN, Rogers and Bell.
The Problem
There’s no easy and private way to leave a true understanding of the person you were for your loved ones and for generations to come. Social media does not paint the truest picture for most, and journaling apps are not very engaging.
The Solution
We are building a platform that is totally private (we don’t use your data) until you are no longer here, or until you specifically choose to share it. With typical journaling and social media (minus the “social”) functionality, it will push quick, light and easy activities to the user to ensure they are able to contribute without having to carve out much time.
Ymmij is an activity-based Journal to be shared with loved ones when you’re gone.
What’s Next for Ymmij?
We’ve bootstrapped our MVP (mimimum viable product), and are in full fundraising mode so that we can continue to build and market to fully launch in 2023.
Where can people see or find you?
We will be attending Collision (June 20-23, 2022) as an ALPHA Startup with a booth on Wednesday, June 22nd. We will also be opening up an equity-based crowdfunding campaign soon – express your interest to participate here, and visit our page to sign up for an invitation to our beta launch.
